Passing of John Sullivan on Feb. 18, 2016

Ravens Crest East lost one of it's beloved residents, John Sullivan, 43, on Thursday, Feb. 18, 2016.  John or "Sully" as many friends here would call him was well known in the community.  He attended and volunteered at the holiday party and pool parties.  He called RCE home for almost 11 years.  He was great talk to and could always make you laugh.  He will be missed. 

A donation has been made to the Community Food Bank of New Jersey. A cherry tree to be planted as part of the landscaping project in 2017 along the Cedar Brook behind building 400 will have a plaque in his memory as well as a bench along the Cedar Brook trail.

The following is the Obituary:
John A. Sullivan, 43, of Plainsboro, New Jersey passed away suddenly on Thursday, February 18, 2016 at Princeton Medical Center in Princeton, New Jersey. John was born on January 27, 1973 in Long Branch, New Jersey. He grew up in Middletown, New Jersey, and graduated from Middletown High School North in 1991.  In 1995, John graduated from York College in York, Pennsylvania. In June of 2001, he started working as a pre-press editor for the Wall Street Journal in Manhattan, New York. After September 11, 2001, his offices were moved to South Brunswick, New Jersey and John soon after moved to Plainsboro, New Jersey. He was proud to be part of the team that received the Pulitzer Prize for their efforts in support of the publication in the aftermath of September 11th. John is survived by his beloved parents, John R. and Angela (Griseta) Sullivan, his loving brother, Bob Sullivan and his wife Deirdre, his aunts and uncles, Tom Sullivan and his wife Linda of Brick, New Jersey, Pat Edwards and her husband Scott of Texas, his great aunt and great uncle, Terry and John Ciani, along with many cherished cousins, extended family members, and friends. He will be sadly missed, but never forgotten. 

        Family and friends are invited to visit on Tuesday, February 23, 2016 from 5:00 to 9:00 PM at the Shore Point Funeral Home and Cremation Service, 3269 State Route 35 North, Hazlet, New Jersey 07730. A prayer service will be offered at the funeral home during visitation hours. In lieu of flowers, donations in loving memory of John to a food pantry of your choice would be greatly appreciated.
