Beginning Friday, April 24, 2009, Midco Waste is Changing Over to Single Stream Recycling!
Until now, we have been sorting our recyclables between co-mingled (metal, glass, plastic) and paper. Starting tomorrow, this will change by enabling you to dispose of ALL recyclable items into ONE recycling container.
The small plastic "tote" containers are being removed and the current larger recycling containers will be re-labeled to indicate their status for use as single stream. Now that we have fewer containers, to accommodate our recycling needs, the pick-up schedule will increase to three (3) days per week - Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. We will be monitoring this new schedule to ensure that fewer containers and increased pick-ups will be beneficial to the Community.
The changes come at no additional cost to the Community or the Homeowners, and we welcome all Residents' feedback and suggestions as to how you think this new system works for you. Please feel free to call or e-mail us with any questions or comments.
